Apples Galore
It's a good week in the art room when papers are drying on every surface!
It's apple painting week in the studio!
The younger classes are making apple prints using small apples that have been cut in half. They are experimenting with color and printmaking.
Nothing makes me happier than the shouts of surprise stating, "Hey I just made orange with red and yellow!"
They've also discovered in spite of my warning that red and green make brown rotten apples.
Lots of precise hand-eye coordination needed.
Getting creative with two different colors...we talked about how apples are sometimes a blend of yellow, green and red.
